WELCOME TO SUNCOAST JUNIOR MOTORCYCLE CLUB INC

Also known as Coolum Pines MX, our Club was incorporated over 20 years ago, in 1997 and located at Research St Coolum. This track has established itself as one of the most renowned and loved MX venues in Australia for riders & spectators, attracting thousands of visitors every year.

The sandy conditions are a treat for riders who like to hang out and ride on the edge. From Ricky Carmichael to Dean Ferris & Kirk Gibbs, this track has not only been host to some of The Greatest riders of all time, it has been the home club to many of our rising Junior stars; Jesse Dobson, Jai Walker, Jett Alsop, Hunter & Jett Lawrence, just to name a few! Many more young gun riders are keen to follow in their boots.

Suncoast JMC welcomes members of all ages and abilities, from juniors as young as 4 years of age, through to seniors and veterans. It is committed to providing community members and visitors a family friendly, safe, controlled environment for participation in the sport of motocross on the Sunshine Coast. Suncoast JMC is affiliated with Motorcycling Queensland, the state controlling body for Motorcycling Australia. The Club is run by volunteers, operating for the benefit of our members and community.

Suncoast JMC accommodates all levels of ability, from beginners to professional athletes. In addition to the annual Club-level Championship Series, previous racing years have hosted major events including the final round of the MX Nationals, MX Sunshine State Series, and the South East Queensland (SEQ) Mx Series.

SUNCOAST JMC BOASTS 3 TRACKS:

Motocross Sand Track

The nationally renowned MX Sand Track uses local sand to produce a challenging track with a combination of large table tops, extensions, berms and rollers. In 2017, the viewing mounds surrounding the track were upgraded to provide premier spectator experience for large events, and in 2018 pneumatic start gates were installed.

StadiumCross / Supercross Track

The Stadium Cross Track is the most recent track constructed at the facility. It was opened in January 2018 and in October 2018, hosted Round 2 of the Australian Supercross. The track is a hard-packed technical circuit and presents an opportunity for riders of all ages and abilities to develop their skills.

Mini Track

The Mini Track was redesigned and moved to its current location in late 2016. Designed specifically for young beginners, the Mini Track offers a great introduction to motocross in a family environment, where the emphasis is on fun! The Track can also accommodate Fast 50’s, which is a popular variation of traditional Motocross.
